Purpose
The purpose of the Zoning Board of Appeals is to hear and decide appeals from “any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official charged with the enforcement of any ordinate or Local Laws.” The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the second Tuesday of the month on an as-needed basis.
All applications to the Zoning Board of Appeals are done through the Building Department. After being denied a permit from the Building Department applicants will be directed to the ZBA to appeal the decision if they wish to do so.
Seeking Two Zoning Board Alternate Members
The Village of Monroe Board of Trustees is currently seeking applicants to fill two (2) vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals for Alternate Members. The ZBA meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 8pm.
